Thanksgiving! MY Thanksgiving was at a cooking institute in Lyon. I have to say, for not being at home, it was... AMAZING.

During our tour of the grounds (the institute is basically a castle), we saw the kitchen where they were preparing our meal.

Another part of the kitchen.

First, our amuse-bouche. Shrimp in some kind of veggie soup/sauce.

Spiced pumpkin soup with scallops.

Turkey stuffed with walnuts, apples, and chestnuts on corn flatbread, garnished with pumpkin and cranberry sauces.

And this would be what they call an orange chocolat cone... there was orange stuff on the inside, on top of a brownie, and the carmelized orange is stuck in maple syrup ice cream. Everything on that plate was edible.. mmmm

Jean et moi
(meanwhile it was starting to snow outside...)

Ale et moi in the snow!

neige!

Niki and Taza (my fellow oregon staters) on the tram going home after our fabuleux meal.
