Last Sunday Lyon International took us to Beaujolais for a hike and some wine tasting. It was a fun day- tasted some grapes, some wine, had a nice walk, hung out with new people, etc. AND it's right outside of Lyon, so thats cool, even though I'm not sure how one would get there without a car or a tour bus. Anyway, here are pictures from that:
The beginning of our trek.
France has a lot of white cows, and finally I caught them on camera!
The chateau of the area with pretty fall trees. (sorry no time for adding accents right now, I'll fix it later- cause I know you care!)
It was beautiful and perfect weather for hiking, but it could have been brighter for prettier pictures...
I'm not positive what this place is, but it definitely has le Petit Prince on it and I thought it was cool even though I couldn't really get a good angle of it.
We walked through/by many many vinyards right outside of Lyon. The grapes are delicious right off the vine, by the way.
I always have to take pictures of sundials because they remind me of Dad!
On the way up to the castle which I never actually made it to because of a lack of time...oh well, I got pictures of it from afar.
I don't think this qualifies as a lemon tree, it was more of a lemon shrub.
Some people in the middle of a Beaujolais vinyard?
Oh, it's Taza and I!
Towards the end of our 11 k hike.
