La Vie en Rose

The pictures following are from Marseille! It was an interesting trip. Where to start... first of all Marseille is kinda sketchy, so we knew if we were getting close to our hotel because of how safe we felt. haha, ok don't worry it wasn't that bad. But another hotel story kinda like Bayeux. We made reservations (keep in mind there were 7 of us) so we show up and the lady tells us we can stay there friday and sunday but not saturday. This puzzled us because we had made reservations and gave her our credit card and everything.. But too bad for us. So we go wandering around town trying to find enough space in a hotel for SEVEN people for the next night. Not only was it the next night, a saturday, but there was also a soccer game. But somehow, we finally found a 1 star hotel that had enough space, and surprisingly, wasn't that bad of a place. It was almost reminiscent of the Absolut Paris (Nathan) in its brothel-esque decoration, but it really was a fine place. So that was the adventure with that.
Chateau d'If was also not like the movie. But I'll forgive it because it was a really cool place. We couldn't actually go below to any sort of dungeon level, so I'm not quite sure what that was like, but we were there so thats all that mattered to me!
After Chateau d'If we went over to another island and saw some freaky hospital ruins. I'm not sure what was so special about those, but the highlight of that island was the swimming. Beautiful water even though it was quite cold. And some pretty tasty tapas.
I really can't remember everything, so like I said in my other post, I'll try to add stories as they come to me!

The first picturesque thing we saw. It has the Musee de Beaux Arts on one side (which I'm pretty sure I wrote my hefty story about already, but I honestly can't remember) and a Natural History Museum on the other. Neither of which we were able to see.

This is the snake we found

Being like the golden girls...

Hillary really wanted a column picture, so after going up and down the giant stairs 5000 times, I posed with her and Katie =)

What you don't know is that we'd been trying to find the Musee de Beaux Arts for forever and that building in the background has a sign that you can't read in the picture clearly saying "Musee de Beaux Arts"

Just a pretty ship in Marseille at sunset.

Our arrival at Chateau d'If. duhn duhn duuuhhhnn

A view of Chateau d'If from the other island we visited.

1- Hillary and I being sad in our cell
2- Hillary and I being happy in our cell

Hillary, Patty, and Rachelle at the top of the chateau

The group

This is actually nothing special because they have multiple carousels in practically every town.

Just a view of Marseille. That's Notre Dame de la Gare on the top of the hill.

I know what you're thinking.. the prisoners had a terrible view. Thats exactly what I thought too.
